Makes sense. I guess this should be documented in studies on people eating omnivorous diets. But I am new to the dangers of excess iron

It is my belief that nature does things for a good reason. Why do you think the iron in vegetable is more difficult to assimilate? Do you think it means we are biologicaly carnivore?

Dariu, great point! I'd hypothesize that because we have been used to eating lots of legumes, veggies, and iron-rich plants for millennia, the body evolved to take in what is needed from every meal throughout the day without risking excess. As I said in the article, high levels of iron are toxic for the body, which makes me think the following: How could we have dealt with all the iron we ate in a carnivorous diet? What about overloading in iron in only a few meals (when the game was caught and needed to be eaten up quickly?) 🤔 These are my initial thoughts. What do you think? This topic requires some research...
